MINISTRY UPDATE- OCT 2020
Let me start off by expressing my gratitude for everyone who is praying for and financially supporting Make Way Ministries. We are excited about the future and so grateful for your continued support that makes our work possible.
We were right on the brink of sending out almost 300 letters to churches to let them know about our speaking ministry when things in the world began to change quickly for all of us. As churches became overwhelmed with the need to pivot their ministries to the rapid shutdown of the country, speaking ministries were put on the back burner. I can understand this, having been on the frontlines at our home church during this season. We experienced a lot of abrupt changes that required immediate action.
But it did not mean that our ministry was put on pause! We were able to minister to the Chi Alpha students at Wright State as well as speak at the Pure Life Ministries Annual Conference Livestream event. Outside of our speaking ministry, we decided that we would tackle a few big projects that had been on our hearts for some time.
-
I was able to record the entire audiobook for my first book, Pile of Masks. This process took nearly 30 hours to complete, but we would never have had the flexibility to do it in such short time had it not been for the pandemic conditions. We now move into the editing process and are excited to release it in the coming future.
-
We also partnered with Pure Life Ministries and put together an entire video series for Pile of Masks that can be used in churches, small groups and classrooms. Each chapter has a 20-minute video teaching to go along with the book and study guide. The services went very well and this project is also in editing mode as we speak.
-
With the help of our donors, we were able to donate a copy of Pile of Masks to all 73 students in the Pure Life Residential program. They were very grateful for the life-impacting gift.
-
The manuscript to our new book “The Crucified Life” is also nearing completion. We look forward to seeing it move into the next stage of production.
-
Having moved houses as a family, our new home has provided a great office space where we are on the final stages of assembling our YouTube studio. We will be purchasing a camera and audio equipment, and then we will be able to bring our channel to the next level to see lives touched and changed.
-
It has been an interesting time for all of us, but God is still at work and moving in the church and in the world. We are glad to be a part of that.
Again, a special thank you to all of those who are praying and giving to our ministry. God has been faithful, and we are excited to see what He has planned for the future!
Your brother in Christ,
Dustin Renz
