God is stirring the hearts of His people to share their faith with the lost!
On January 29th, I was invited by Pastor Jeff Colon to speak at Lighthouse on the Rock Fellowship in Dry Ridge, KY on the topic of evangelism. The mission of Make Way Ministries is: “We seek to inspire the Body of Christ to awaken, mature and arise as we make way for our soon-coming King, Jesus Christ.” One of the ways that we encourage the church to arise is through practical training on ways to share Jesus with the world around them. I believe the church in the West has become too introverted, and we need to get out of the walls of the church to make sure the light of Jesus is shining brightly in the world. In my message to Lighthouse Fellowship, I explained how the four walls of the church have become the enemy of the fulfillment of the Great Commission in our generation. We’ve become far too comfortable in our churches among fellow believers while the world perishes outside. The early church provides us with a powerful example of Christians who boldly lived their lives for Jesus in the midst of a wicked culture. I encouraged all of us to take their example and apply it to our lives, believing for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to assist us in developing an evangelistic lifestyle.
After the message, I shared some practical tips on how to share the love of Christ with people we come in contact with. I gave many examples of what I have seen the Lord do as I stepped out of my own comfort zone to share Jesus. It was a great morning of ministry. I’m grateful for the hearts that we stirred. I was told by Pastor Jeff that the following Saturday several from the church went to a local mall to believe God for encounters with people who needed to hear about Jesus. It is a blessing to know that God is doing a work in the hearts of His children to get the Gospel of Jesus Christ out to the world around them.
Thank you for continuing to pray for our ministry as well. It is the prayers and financial support of people like you who allow us to do what we do. Please consider a one-time or monthly contribution by going to our Donate page. Lives are being impacted and changed by your giving!
